Metal-Borers are designed for fast, economical production of holes from 16 to 150 mm in diameter in steel, copper, aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, etc., in the form of plate or pipe.

Unlike a solid drill bit which has to drill through and remove a large volume of metal in order to create a hole, a Metal-Borer has only to drill around the periphery of the hole. The actual cutting area is very much reduced; which drastically reduces the energy required. This means small drilling machines can be used to produce large holes.


Efficient Drilling
The inner and outer cutting tip edges of the Tenn Metal-Borer are arranged so as to efficiently evacuate the chips, preventing blockages, thus resulting in a smooth and efficient drilling operation.


Carbide Tipped
High quality carbide tips are solidly brazed onto the cutting edges which makes rapid drilling of thick steel possible. The carbide tips are randomly spaced to reduce 'chattering'.
